1. Pakhuis Wilhelmina
Pakhuis Wilhelmina is a venue I would like to refer to as a kindof ´alternative scene´ without being too ´you need at least 2 tattoos and 3 piercings to get in´. But it has this love peace and hapiness feel in it´s genes. You will have to take your (Mc)Bike, it is about 10 minutes by bike to get here from Central Station.
What is so special about Pakhuis Wilhelmina Amsterdam?
The livemusic is by artists which are not famous or have gathered some fame in the past. But one thing they have in common: they’re good musicians. Usually all it takes is a lousy 5 Euro to get in. Visit the website to have a look at the concert guide.

2. Mulligans Irish Music Bar
Mulligans is the one and only Irish music bar in Amsterdam. A nice mixture of locals, tourists and formerly tourists who have decided to stay in Amsterdam. Including Irish people ofcourse.
There are about … live acts each month so good chance you will catch something. There is also an open Irish podium each … So if you have brought your fiddle, join in. They have recently opened a smoking lounge. One drinks Guinness here, ofcourse.
What is so special about Mulligans Amsterdam?
It is the fastest way for me to go on a holiday. The moment I step into the door I feel like I am in Ireland. It makes me feel like home would feel if I were Irish and entered Mulligans. Confusing?. Never mind, just go there.

3. Paradiso
In a way Paradiso does not belong on this website where I introduce to you the special places you would have not found yourself. Paradiso you would have found. But it is simply so awsome that I need to put Paradiso in this list anyway. It is the absolute #1 spot in Amsterdam to enjoy live music. A variety of artist play in this beautiful concert hall which used to be a church, long ago. Every night there are several concerts, even on mondays. Famous musician have performed here. But also upcoming artists. Not limited to any musical style.

There just is nothing like it in Amsterdam. History has been made here by so many musicians, like Nirvana, David Bowie, Guns N' Roses, Prince, The Police, The Velvet Underground, U2 & Robbie Williams
Forget about the Heineken Music Hall or the Pepsi Stage. Paradiso is the place to go to for live music in Amsterdam.
